VIOXX CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT
By admin | December 18, 2007
You might not be eligible to take part of the Vioxx class action lawsuit if you failed to notify your doctor about smoking and alcohol consumption prior to your prescription or usage of the drug like you were supposed to do.
The Vioxx class action lawsuit is for people that have experienced life threatening illness due to taking Vioxx who have not mixed substances with their prescription to cause the illness to occur. If you were a heavy smoker and you didn’t tell your doctor prior to your Vioxx prescription you might not be eligible to take part in the Vioxx class action lawsuit because of the long term effects smoking has on your body. This would include people that smoked for years and years and that might have quit smoking prior to their Vioxx prescription. The smoking could have been the reason for the heart attack or any other illness you might think was caused from your Vioxx. This includes cigarette smoking, cigar smoking, or smoking any other substance.
You might be eliminated from the Vioxx class action lawsuit if you are an alcoholic and a heavy drinker. Even if you are not a heavy drinker, if you did not notify your doctor about your drinking habits, then you might not be eligible for any benefits. Heavy alcohol drinking has detrimental effects on your liver and other internal organs and could interfere with the Vioxx and cause serious problems. This is why it is a requirement for any individual to notify their doctor that they drink often. In most cases of alcoholics, they are in denial of their drinking problem and will never admit to the fact that they drink a lot. Instead, they will accept the prescription from the doctor for the Vioxx and then continue to drink. Continuing to drink with a Vioxx prescription is a no-no and you might not have a chance for the Vioxx class action lawsuit because you caused the problems yourself.
You might be eliminated as a candidate in the Vioxx class action lawsuit if you are or were a heavy drinker or smoker and failed to notify your doctor about it.
